Meta Bioengineering and R&D Services Inc. was established as a Start-Up company in 2018 in order to develop small, medium and large-scale projects in the medical device sector. Meta has undertaken to produce under the control of expert academicians. Meta continues its research and development studies and production activities on biomaterials in ISO 7 (Class 10000) level clean room located in Istanbul Technopark Region. Meta is a bioengineering based company that focuses specifically on the design, development, manufacture and marketing of traditional and innovative bioactive glass products. It has adopted the principle of keeping product / user satisfaction at a high level. In this direction, META adopts the requirements of the medical sector and serves its customers with all national and international quality, management and product certificates without compromising quality principles. Meta continues its work with sure and determined steps towards becoming a respected and sought-after company. META family which created in accordance with a multi-disciplinary approach, is constantly monitored by The Certification bodies and The Ministry of Health.

For this reason, as the manufacturer of Bone-G Active, which is a synthetic bone structure graft material designed to support regeneration and growth when implanted into defective bone tissue, biocompatible, produced to support inorganic bone structure formation thanks to its bioactivity, we produce our product in the best way. We carry out product production, clinical trials and innovation studies with great pleasure and devotion, and we obtain products that have an extremely important place in the field of health. Our Quality Systems

The products developed by Meta Biyomuhendislik belong to the Implantable Medical Devices category regulated by the European Directive 93/42 / EEC. The Meta Bioengineering system is monitored daily with a comprehensive and complete quality system compliant with EN ISO 13485 (specific for medical devices). Meta Bioengineering is in compliance with EN ISO 13485 certification and a certificate of conformity has been obtained by the notified body KIWA in 2020. Meta Bioengineering products are CE certified to ensure compliance with European regulations for manufacturing, traceability, safety, labeling and packaging specifications. Due to its high quality requirements and advanced technology, Meta Bioengineering pays attention to the needs of its users and patient comfort.

Prof. Dr.  Sevil YÜCEL

R&D Manager And Co-Founder

I am Prof. Dr. Sevil Yücel, after graduating from the Department of Chemical Engineering at Istanbul Technical University in 1988, I did my master’s and doctorate in the same direction at the Department of Chemical Engineering at Istanbul Technical University, thus completing my doctorate in 1999 and earning the title of Dr. Following these, I obtained the titles of Asst. Prof. Dr., Assoc. Prof. Dr. and Prof. Dr. in 2014 at the Department of Bioengineering at Yıldız Technical University and served as the head of the bioengineering department of my university between 2017-2018. Throughout my academic life, I have kept my work perspective broad and have done dozens of studies in many different fields such as Chemical Engineering and Technology, Biotechnology, Tissue Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Biomaterials, Nanomaterials, Food Engineering, Food technology, Oil technology and I have published many books and articles. During all these studies, I gave many lectures such as biothermodynamics, biomaterials, lipid technologies and applications. I am currently continuing my academic career with love and passion. In 2018, I decided to become one of the founding partners of Meta Bioengineering and R&D Services Inc. In addition to these, I continue to work as R&D manager in the company.

In 2020, I graduated from Yıldız Technical University Bioengineering Department. During my undergraduate education, I took part in different projects and gained experience in various projects on pathology and bioactive glasses. I continued to improve myself after my undergraduate education and increased my competence in various fields by obtaining certificates in many fields. In 2020, I started my business life with Meta Bioengineering and Arge Services Inc. and I am currently working as a Quality Management Representative.

Nisa Nur DURSUN AKPINAR

I completed my undergraduate education at Yıldız Technical University Bioengineering Department in 2020. During my undergraduate education, I was interested in projects on various topics such as cancerous tissues and bioactive glasses, as well as participating in studies, participating in conferences and organizing conferences in various fields by keeping my interest range wide. I continued my development after my Yıldız Technical Bioengineering education, which I completed with love, and I obtained various certificates and gained competence in many fields. In addition to all these, I met Meta Bioengineering and R&D Services Inc. in 2020 and I continue my duty as Production Planning Manager with passion.

I completed my undergraduate education in 2021, graduating from Üsküdar University, Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics. During my undergraduate education, I have been working on the anti-depressant effect mechanism of Hypericum Perforatum (St. John’s Wort) plant, and in addition to this, I have improved myself in the fields of bioengineering by attending many congresses. In 2022, I started my business life adventure with Meta Bioengineering and R&D Services Inc. and I am currently working as Production Planning Supervisor.

Reyhan Özge BİLGİÇ

Quality Control and Assurance Officer

I graduated from Balıkesir University, Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics in 2021. During my undergraduate education, I worked on nanotechnology and cancer diagnosis, as well as biochemistry, pathology and microbiology, regardless of field. In addition to these, I developed myself in the field of bioinformatics and gained competence. I crossed paths with Meta Bioengineering and R&D Services Inc. in 2022 and I continue my duty as Quality Control and Assurance Officer.
